The classical ballet performance (staged and choreographed by Meghan Samonte) tells the story of a plain-looking little bird (the Ugly Duckling). Her sisters as well as the other birds and animals tease her for being plain and ugly, so she runs off to live with a flock of wild peacocks who are suddenly enchanted by an evil black swan.
The Ugly Duckling is a great ballet for children of all ages. Enjoy an interactive participation during the children’s matinee (December 11th at 2 pm) or participate in the GALA black tie event (December 11th at 6:00 pm). Total runtime of the show is 75 minutes with intermission.
