What is Disaster Management Services (DMS)?
Disaster Management Services (DMS) is one of the significant services of the Philippine Red Cross, primarily tasked to deliver humanitarian assistance during emergencies and disasters. Through its vast network of well-trained, skilled, and committed staff and volunteers nationwide, the DMS implements its mandate through an integrated, holistic approach to save lives, minimize human suffering, and reduce losses and damages.
Apart from emergency and disaster situations, DMS has a significant role in building the capacity of communities to minimize the risks and to cope and recover after the impact of disasters immediately.

Core programs of DMS
1. Disaster Risk Reduction
Contributes to developing safe and resilient communities, schools, and workplaces through RC143 to capacitate them to prepare, respond, and recover from any emergency.
2. Disaster Preparedness
Strengthens the preparedness capacity of the PRC (both the NHQ and Chapters) for timely and effective response.
3. Disaster Response
Provides appropriate humanitarian services in the areas of rescue, relief, health, welfare, and emergency shelter to the most vulnerable groups among the total affected population
4. Disaster Recovery
It involves providing, restoring, and improving shelter, livelihood, and essential community facilities to improve living conditions and reduce disaster risk, supporting long-term approaches to building back better and safer.

Qualifications:
1. Must be 18 years old and above.
2. Physically fit (no medical certificate required, but must be able to handle physically demanding tasks)
3. Willing to commit to at least two years in the organization.
4. Currently residing in Davao City and will still be residing two years from now.
5. Can understand and speak the local dialect.
6. Willing to pay Membership Accident Assistance Benefit(MAAB) for future engagements.
7. Willing to undergo the face-to-face sessions of SDRT training and specialization training courses in the future.

TRAINING FEE: Php 500 (Inclusive of the Registration fee, training materials, Membership Accident Assistance Benefit-Bronze), which will be collected on Day 0/Training Orientation
