The Photography NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to take pictures of people, places, objects, and events and tries to artistically capture and evoke a mood, feeling, or drama surrounding a particular subject using a camera. The work of a photographer is not only limited to the actual use of the camera and proper lighting but also includes all the steps in the development of the image up to the presentation of the final product.

Full Online, Self-paced, with consultations via video conferencing platforms.
Entry Requirements
General:
- Be able to read, comprehend, and discuss printed information in English.
- Can write simple statements, recognize numbers, and perform basic numeric calculations.
- Computer literate and willing to learn new software.
- At least 18 years of age by the time they finish the training program.
Equipment/Software:
- Must own or have access to a Digital SLR (DSLR) or Mirrorless Interchangeable-Lens Camera (MILC) with lens and essential accessories (battery, charger, memory card, card reader, or camera cable for downloading the files to the computer)
- Must have access to a computer with Adobe Photoshop (CS6 or a more recent version)
- Must own or have access to essential photography studio equipment: ***
- At least two units of studio strobes or compact flash
- At least two units of diffusing light modifiers (ex., softbox)
- At least two units of light stands
- Flash trigger compatible with the studio strobes or compact flash
- Must have a stable internet connection
- A device with good audio and video and Zoom application
*** Alternatively, a student may use the PCCI studio and equipment (for 2 hours) for FREE to perform the requirements.
