BOSH course for Safety Officer 1 (SO1), which is DOLE-mandated in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). It’s an eight-hour OSH orientation and two hours of trainer training that provides knowledge and skills on basic concepts and principles related to occupational safety and health to empower potential safety officers (with SO1 certification) to implement their respective companies’ safety and health programs.
Companies classified as low-risk (with 1-50 employees) or medium-risk (with 1-9 employees) are required by the DOLE to designate SO1.
